A friend in need is a friend indeed. The first half of 2020 is the most unforgettable time in the life of overseas Chinese cadres of Phoenix Artist Material. Since they left their hometown and stayed overseas during the Spring Festival, they have been keeping watch with local cadres and staff in Vietnam and Cambodia while holding a group to warm themselves. They have also seen the true feelings of the world in times of adversity.
[1] Strictly abide by overseas pandemic prevention and control, and do everything possible to direct production
On January 22 this year, Wang Yiyuan, general manager of Phoenix Artist Material in Vietnam, returned home for the Spring Festival. At that time, the domestic epidemic had just broken out, and he immediately decided to return to Vietnam ahead of time. While doing a good job of self-isolation, the first thing after going to work is to arrange Vietnamese factories to purchase pandemic prevention materials. Because Chen Weihong, chairman of Phoenix Artist Material, has long entrusted him that the overseas factories should do their best to prevent the pandemic at all costs and be responsible for the society of China and Vietnam.
On February 1, the first group of five Chinese cadres prepared to go to Vietnam, but on the same day, Vietnam cut off its flights to China and they had to temporarily return their tickets to Cambodia. After the group arrived in Cambodia, although Cambodia did not require compulsory isolation at that time, they still voluntarily isolated themselves in the hotel for 14 days before entering the factory park. Fortunately, the Cambodian cadres of Van Gogh Artist Material in Cambodia are very loyal to the enterprise, and they are also very dedicated to their duties. During the isolation period of Chinese cadres, Cambodian cadres not only sent meals and daily necessities in time, but also tried their best to assist Chinese cadres in the prevention and control of pandemic and daily production management, ensuring that the production of the enterprise goes on as usual.
In the Phoenix Artist Material in Vietnam, which has been built for 15 years, Vietnamese and Chinese cadres carry forward the spirit of cooperation. Li Huang Yan, deputy chief executive of Phoenix Artist Material in Vietnam, is a veteran entrepreneur among Vietnamese cadres and the most effective manager of Phoenix Artist Material in Vietnam. During the pandemic period, she made great efforts to maintain good communication with Vietnamese government organs, and at the same time, she argued for the Chinese cadres to live in factories and dormitories for isolation, avoiding the inconvenience of being isolated in centralized points and the risk of group infection. Internally, she worked closely with the chairman of the labor union and the manager of the production department, Fan Jinxin, to calm down the exclusion and panic of a few employees towards the Chinese people, maintain the stability of the company and ensure the normal operation of production.
During this period, because the Chinese cadres strictly abide by the isolation of the dormitory in the factory, and they have to consciously do a good job of social isolation after the expiration of the 15-day isolation period, the activity area was strictly limited, many problems in the workshop were mainly handled by Vietnamese local cadres such as Li Huangyan and fan Jinxin showed their brave commitment and dedication.
[2] Only when you leave home three thousand miles away from home can you know that loyalty and filial piety are difficult to do the same well
The most difficult thing for Chinese cadres working abroad is not the busy work, nor the loneliness of a foreign country, but the suffering of being separated from their relatives in two places, especially the aging and death of their families. General manager Wang Yiyuan, who has been in Phoenix Artist Material for many years, has a deep understanding of this. Last September, his elderly mother was hospitalized because of illness, but he was too busy with the establishment of Phoenix Cultural Products in Vietnam to accompany her mother. Yang Minhong, manager of Van Gogh Artist Material in Cambodia, directly missed the last meeting with her mother. In August 2019, her mother suffered a sudden cerebral hemorrhage. She asked for leave to return home, but she still failed to see her mother for the last time, which became her biggest regret. As the eldest son of his family, manager Xu Jian also feels guilty for his family, because this is the longest time he has been away from home. Since flying to Vietnam on February 1, he has been isolated in Cambodian and Vietnamese hotels for 15 days and has been staying in the factory dormitory ever since. As a native of Wuxi, living in Vietnam is inconvenient, but what he cares most about is his parents, who are nearly 80 years old. A few years ago, his father had a heart stent operation. Some time ago, he heard that his father was not in good health, which made him uneasy all night. He wanted to go home immediately. But the chance to go back is very slim, because Vietnam and China have nominally resumed navigation, but only important experts and legal representatives of large enterprises investing in Vietnam apply to the Vietnamese government for a visa, which can be released by special channels after being approved by the Vietnamese government at all levels, and after returning home, he will have to be quarantined for 14 days to go home. Although they are separated from their relatives in two places and are far away from returning home, all these overseas Chinese cadres devote themselves to their work, they set out from the overall situation, kept their mission and responsibilities in mind, and put aside their personal feelings and family responsibilities. They knew that they had to make sacrifices in their career, and they had to turn their apologies to their families into the driving force for their hard work.
[3] Business goes against the trend and factories go on and on
Like a ray of sunshine behind the dark clouds, every crisis also contains new opportunities. The pandemic is rampant in the world, so that many people have to stay at home, indirectly giving birth to the prevalence of home economy and home culture. Especially in Europe and the United States and other developed countries, the national art atmosphere is strong, and painting materials are the necessary household cultural goods. Therefore, overseas orders have rebounded rapidly since the middle of March. At the same time, some customers who cancelled or delayed orders in February also demanded to speed up shipment.
The surge of business soon spread to various factories of Phoenix Artist Material, and overseas factories were the first to bear the brunt. In order to successfully complete the order, all Chinese and foreign staff of Phoenix Artist Material in Vietnam and Cambodia Van Gogh Artist Material worked together, to cope with the complex and severe epidemic situation, they made full use of the automatic production line, optimized the production management, strengthened the reward and punishment mechanism, fully mobilized the enthusiasm of employees, made every effort to further improve the production capacity, and strived to achieve new breakthroughs. So far, the monthly production capacity of Phoenix Artist Material in Vietnam has further improved, and Cambodia's Van Gogh Artist Material have also achieved a new leap on the basis of last year.
It is the Chinese cadres overseas who take the overall situation into consideration and are strict with themselves, and it is the dedicated and concerted efforts of the Vietnamese and Cambodian cadres and employees that make the overseas factory of Phoenix Artist Material ride out the pandemic safely again, and fully seize the opportunity of the adverse growth of overseas orders to further enhance its production capacity. As Phoenix Artist Material chairman Chen Weihong said: success comes from our unremitting efforts!
